ahh memories...
Last night I was talking with someone and I remembered Amesis (sp?) the RA we had in Douglass for 2 weeks. I don't remember exactly what we did to him though. I remember that he was really young looking and said something along the lines of "I don't get what people see in Star Trek" on the first day, and managed to turn the whole hall against him in a matter of hours.

After he left they could not get any RA to take on Douglass for the rest of the year.

Does anyone remember specifically what was done to get rid of him?

hell yeah!
Can I get a hell yeah from all the Douglassonians still here? I figure it's good to know every so often. And incidentally, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Roll call
So, I'm just curious, how many of us Douglassites are still in the local area, and are we at all interested in getting together to shoot the proverbial shit at a coffee shop sometime in the near future at all?

Free at last!
So, hey, if anyone out there is paying attention:

People can now just join up and post immediately, without contacting the mod. (me) This group was previously set to bar people from posting in the community without moderator approval, but I got rid of that. More immediate results for you, less work for me. Winning equation!

Yeah. So, how is everyone doing?? :D

I'm going to be having Anime Night every week, Monday nights, starting at 6pm, and running no later than 9pm. We'll have a variety of stuff to watch, so it's mainly up to the people who show up to decide what we view. Weeee!

Is the Douglass Halll page....
... ever going to get updated :-(

Don't get me wrong, I know people are busy, but the school year is flying by yet again.

Is the new hall lacking a person proficient in HTML?

Another Camp?
Today in the mail I received a application for Ballibay, a summer camp in Camptown, PA. I am not sure if i really want to apply but for some reason this camp really has caught my eye. It is a Theater, Art, Music, Dance, Video, and Broadcasting camp. They have camps all over the world. I could even go to a camp in New Zealand, Canada, England, South Africa, or even Australia. What do you guys think? I know i did not like girl scout camp, but maybe this camp will be different? I do not know i guess i should just apply and see what happens. =) Let me know what you think.

hi everyone!!!
I can not tell everyone how much i miss the dorm room life and all of my friends! I am so sick of camp that i just want to pick up and leave this place. The only thing keeping me here is the fact that i only have three more weeks of camp. Everyday here seems like a whole week of college. I need to hang out with people my own age. I do like working with children but i am getting burnt out. I enjoy some things here at camp like boating and swimming in the lake with the kids but mostly i just want to go back to Douglass Hall. I hope everyone is having a great summer and i look forward to seeing you all at the end of summer!! =)

Bruce @ Powell's tomorrow -- the details
Okay, so here's the story as it stands right now, as far as I know:

1) I go to class from 8-10, maybe spend a couple hours at the office, and I'll be out of here by 12:30 at the latest, arriving there about 5 hours early to reserve a spot in line, if necessary. If there's no line, then, well, what better place to kill time than a giant bookstore? :D Anybody who wants to go up early with me, let me know before, say, 11am.

2) I believe Felicia is going up later in the afternoon, sometime after 3pm, with James and Zach in tow. Let one of them know in advance if you'd like to go with them, they can probably accomodate 1 or 2 more people. This is the crew to go up with if you don't wanna spend all day in line with a chucklehead like me. ^_-

BRUCIE BRUCIE!
What: BRUCE CAMPBELL, that's what!
When: This Thursday, 7:30pm
Whar: Powell's Books, in Portland

I know some folks in Beaverton who are hoping to come out for it, and I think it'd kick ass if we also got some people together to go up and see Mr. Campbell. He kicks ass. :D

Here's the catch: I have been duly warned that we should GO EARLY. That could be problematic for those of you who have work/class/whatever during the day.

Now, *I* can bail out on work, which means that I can go to class, and still arrive in Portland as early as noon. I and anyone else who goes early could theoretically hold a place in line for a second group that would drive up later, after classes and work have ended.

Anyhoo, the bottom line is: it'll kick ass, and I don't wanna stand in line alone! ^_- I dunno if he's autographing or what, but I'm told that Bruce spends a little time with everybody that gets through the line, so we'd at least get to chat with the guy, which would be pretty darn cool already.

So yeah, if there is interest in this expedition, leave a comment HERE! :D
